RNA Intereference
Unfortunately, I was not able to find any particularly compelling RNAi or chemical genetic data for SORL1. The worm homolog (if you can appropriately call it that) to SORL1 was determined on the strength of a shared EGF domain (a fairly common domain). The closest homolog to SORL1 in C. elegans is the T21E3.3 gene. As is the case with human SORL1, T21E3.3 is an EGF-like protein and is found at the lrp-2 locus. When this gene is knocked down using RNA Interference (RNAi), the observed phenotype is abnormal cell migration (WormBase).
