To find homologous genes I searched Homologene.  The five species above all have a homologous gene to Human SORL1.  One interesting result is that the dog and cow genes came up as a better match with the human than mouse, but the resulting proteins do not follow the same pattern.  In this case, the mouse protein is more identical to the human protein than either the dog or cow.  This could be due a number of factors but since the difference in protein identity is so small, there likely is not much of a difference between the proteins found in human, dog, cow, and mouse.
